Finally, we have come to the last sprint of the Portfolio 2 project. It has been a great 10 weeks of planning and development, while it was exhausting, it was certainly a great learning experience.

For the final sprint, we are working on the one of the feedback we obtained during hackathon, which is to gamify the system in order to attract more users to our mobile application.

Tasks to earn points

We decided to create a point and ranking system in our mobile application. The user will be able to obtain more points by doing daily tasks such as reading the news or doing the 5 step mozzie wipeout. Once the user has reached a certain amount of points, he is then able to redeem prizes such as ther water level sensor kit. This allows the user to feel accomplished by awarding them incentives for completing tasks and earning awards. It is a win-win situation as the user will get rewards while doing their part in preventing dengue in Singapore.

At the end of our Portfolio 2, we also did a demo day event whereby we introduce our project to those who came to visit our booth. We are proud of what we did and if given the chance, we would definitely continue this project in the future.
